Charles Plumier, botanist to Louis XIV, brought back from the West Indies a small bush with flowers of intense colour : the fuchsia. Mansle has a garden dedicated to a unique collection of some 500 fuchsias. When in full flower, it is a riot of colours. All the shades of orange, pink, red, blue-violet and purple are present.
In the garden, over 300 varieties of marsh plants, horsetail, primula, campanula and gunera thrive with their toes in the water and their heads in the sun.
