Jean-Yves and François Moine are wine growers and bouilleurs de cru. They organise a trail which takes the visitor from oak to cognac. The Moine brothers lead you first of all to the fendeur de merrains, the stave splitter who splits the oak using an ancestral method. Then comes the visit to the Gatard cooperage. Finally, the distillery where you can discover, in the distilling season, how the pot still operates and learn what is the bonne chauffe. Slip into the storehouses, just like the angels, to where the cognacs are ageing The visit ends with a tasting. Excellent grape juice is on hand for younger visitors.
