This is a changing landscape, from the rolling hills of the south through the craggy gorges at Chambon to the lakes in the Upper Charente. Unspoiled scenery with thriving Holm oak, sweet chestnut, box, juniper and golden heather. Scenery which is home to wood and field dwellers : pygmy shrews, roe deer, larks, chaffinches, flycatchers.... Villages and hamlets dotted along the way make stocking up on fresh supplies an easy matter.
From 6 to 50 km, rising from 65 to more than 850 m, derive strength from nature.
